武胜县位于川东渝北、嘉陵江中下游，隶属于小平故里—四川广安，幅员面积966平方公里，辖23个乡镇，276个村、48个社区。根据第七次人口普查数据，截至2025-08-04零时，武胜县常住人口555897人。有回、藏、蒙、维等35个少数民族，是嘉陵江流域第二大回民聚居地。

Wusheng County is situated in the middle and lower reaches of the Jialing River in eastern Sichuan, facing Chongqing to the south. It is placed under the administration of Guang'an, the hometown of Deng Xiaoping. Wusheng County covers an area of 966 square kilometers and has 23 rural towns, 276 villages and 48 communities under its jurisdiction. According to the 7th national census, Wusheng County had a resident population of 555,897 as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020. 35 ethnic minorities including Huis, Tibetans, Mongolians and Uighurs live in Wusheng County, the second largest Hui settlement in the Jialing River Basin.

历史文化悠久。武胜最早属巴郡垫江县，南朝齐（公元479年—502年）始置为汉初县。元朝至元四年（公元1267年），设置武胜军（与县同级），后置定远县。民国三年（公元1914年），定名为武胜县，沿用至今。武胜是中国民间文化（竹丝画帘、剪纸）艺术之乡，是《红岩》作者之一杨益言的故乡。

Time-honored History and Culture. Wusheng was originally placed under the administration of Dianjiang County of the Prefecture of Ba.In the Qi Dynasty ( 479-502 AD) of the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, it was designated Hanchu County. In the fourth year of the Zhiyuan period of the Yuan Dynasty (1267 AD), it was designated Wusheng Contingent(at the same level as a county)and later, Dingyuan County. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914 AD), it got its present name Wusheng County. Wusheng is a cradle of Chinese folk culture and art (bamboo filament painted screen and paper-cutting). It is the hometown of Yang Yiyan who co-authored Hongyan.

自然资源富集。境内以浅丘带坝地貌为主，地势为西北高，东南低，平均海拔317.8米，年平均气温17.5℃，年降雨量1100毫米。石油储量1600万吨、天然气储量4000亿立方米、盐卤储量8.1亿立方米，水能资源约42万千瓦、境内建有2座水电站。武胜盛产粮油、生猪、蚕桑、水产、柑桔等农产品，被中国蚕学会授予“中国蚕桑之乡”称号。“武胜大雅柑”获批国家地理标志证明商标。

Rich in Natural Resources. At an average altitude of 317.8 meters, Wusheng's terrain is mainly shallow hills interspersed with small flatlands, tilting from the northwest downwards to the southeast. Its annual average temperature is 17.5 °C, and the annual rainfall is 1,100 mm. Wusheng has an oil reserve of 16 million tons, a natural gas reserve of 400 billion cubic meters, a bittern reserve of 810 million cubic meters, and a hydro power reserve of about 420,000 kilowatts. Two hydro power stations have been built. Wusheng teems with cereals and vegetable oils, live pigs, silk, aquatic products, and citrus. It has been awarded the title of "Hometown of Sericulture in China" by the Chinese Society of Sericultural Science. "Wusheng Daya Citrus" has been approved as a Chinese brand with protected geographical indications.

生态环境优美。千里嘉陵，武胜最长。境内有“一江四河七十四溪”，嘉陵江纵贯武胜117公里，河曲度亚洲第一、世界第三，64个江湾首尾相连，素有“嘉陵明珠”之美誉。拥有“蜀中一绝”宝箴塞、白坪—飞龙乡村旅游度假区2个国家AAAA级景区，1个国家级水利风景区（浑然天成的太极湖）。飞龙镇卢山村、飞龙镇高洞村、三溪镇观音桥村分别获评“中国最美休闲乡村”“中国十大最美乡村”“中国美丽休闲乡村”，方家沟村等5个村庄列入中国传统村落名录。成功创建全国休闲农业重点县，被评为全国农村人居环境整治激励县。

An Inviting Eco-environment. The Wusheng section of the Jialing River is the most amazing. Wusheng is home to "one mighty river, four ordinary rivers and 74 streams". A 117-kilometer section of the Jialing River runs through Wusheng, with the biggest meander breadth in Asia and the third biggest meander breadth in the world. 64 rivers and bays connect to each other end to end, rendering Wusheng a lustrous pearl by the Jialing River. Wusheng boasts two national AAAA-rated scenic spots, Baozhensai (#1 scenic spot in Sichuan) and Baiping-Feilong Rural Tourist Resort, and one national hydraulic engineering scenic spot, the all-natural Taiji Lake. Lushan Village in Feilong Township, Gaodong Village in Feilong Township and Guanyinqiao Village in Sanxi Township are named, respectively, "China Most Beautiful Leisure Village", "China Top 10 Most Beautiful Village" and "China Beautiful Leisure Village". Fangjiagou Village and four other villages are listed as "Traditional Chinese Villages". Wusheng has established itself as a Key County of Leisure Agriculture in China and is included in the list of Chinese Counties Given Incentive to the Improvement of the Rural Human Settlement Environment.

交通区位独特。武胜地处重庆、广安、遂宁、南充交汇轴心，位于成渝地区双城经济圈腹心地带和重庆一小时都市圈，具有进城入圈的桥头堡优势。是渝新欧国际铁路大通道重庆入川第一站，也是嘉陵江出川最后一站。兰渝铁路、兰海高速、遂广高速纵贯全境，半小时到广安、南充、遂宁、潼南、合川，1小时至重庆，2小时达成都，4小时抵西安、贵阳。嘉陵江黄金水道通江达海，千吨级船舶可直通上海。

A Unique Traffic Location. Wusheng lies at the intersection of Chongqing, Guang'an, Suining and Nanchong and the heart of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. It is within the Chongqing 1-hour Metropolitan Area,with great potential to be integrated into the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. It is the first leg of the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe international railway in Sichuan and the last leg of the Jialing River waterway in Sichuan. The Lanzhou-Chongqing Railway, Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway and Suining-Guang'an Expressway run through Wusheng. The ride from Wusheng to Guang'an, Nanchong, Suining, Tongnan and Hechuan takes half an hour, that to Chongqing takes an hour,that to Chengdu takes two hours, and that to Xi'an and Guiyang takes four hours. The Jialing River waterway is a gateway to other rivers and the sea. 1,000-ton ships can sail to Shanghai non-stop.

产业根基坚实。坚定实施“工业强县”战略，集群发展农产品加工、节能环保及新材料、装备制造三大主导产业，引进生琳金属、毛哥食品等亿元以上工业企业32户，现有规模以上工业企业116户。

A Solid Industrial Foundation. Wusheng unswervingly pursues the "industry-powered county development" strategy. It intensively develops the three leading industries of agricultural product processing, energy conservation, environmental protection and new materials, and equipment manufacturing, and has brought in 32 industrial enterprises valued at over RMB 100 million such as Shenglin Metals and Maoge Foods. Currently 116 industrial enterprises above the state designated size operate in Wusheng.

一是围绕重庆火锅“武胜造”，大力推进火锅产业原材料基地建设，培育壮大火锅底料加工和配套服务型企业，武胜火锅全产业生态链和生态圈初步形成。依托合（川）广（安）长（寿）协同发展示范区功能平台，积极推进经济区与行政区适度分离改革，合武共建产业园加快成势，在川渝合作示范区建设中走在前列。

Wusheng will press ahead with the building of hot pot raw materials bases and foster the development of enterprises engaged in the processing of hot pot condiments and related services to promote Wusheng-made Chongqing hotpot and build the industry chain and ecosystem. Wusheng will play up to the platform role of the Hechuan- Guang'an -Changshou Demonstration Zone for Collaborative Development and push through the reform of moderation separation of economic zones and administrative zones. The Hechuan-Wusheng Collaborative Industrial Park soon to be completed stands out as a model Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation Demonstration Zone. 

二是全面推进乡村振兴，做好两项改革“后半篇”文章，全域布局建设“两带五区”乡村振兴样板区，建成晚熟柑桔基地20万亩、优质蚕桑基地3万亩、稻渔综合种养基地2万亩，年均出栏生猪88万头以上，粮食年产量稳定在32万吨以上。获评全国农村一二三产业融合发展先导区、全省实施乡村振兴战略工作先进县。

Wusheng will carry out "the second half" of two reforms to sweepingly promote rural revitalization. It built "two pilot belts and five pilot districts" for rural revitalization across the county and established a 200,000-mu late-maturing citrus base, a 30,000-mu high-quality sericulture base, and a 20,000-mu rice-fish culture base. Wusheng produces over 880,000 live pigs annually, and its annual grain output reaches a stable level of over 320,000 tons. Wusheng is rated as a national pilot area for the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas and a model county in rural revitalization in Sichuan Province.

三是坚定做活文旅产业，以“千里嘉陵武胜最美”为目标，高标准规划实施秀美嘉陵江工程，城市品质全面提升，服务业态不断完善，“休闲江湾城”亮美名片影响力不断扩大。融恒时代广场、“夜嘉陵”美食街人潮涌动、商气十足，“武胜麻哥面”注册为国家集体商标，累计培育“武胜麻哥面”标准店90家。

Wusheng resolutely promotes the development of the cultural tourism industries. To make the Wusheng section of the Jialing River the most amazing sight, it designed and implemented the Jialing River beautification project to high standards. Thanks to its efforts, Wusheng's quality as a city improved, the service industry turned for the better, and its influence as a "Leisure River Bay City" extended considerably. Rongheng Times Square and "Jialing at Night" Food Street bustle with people. "Wusheng Mage Noodles" is registered as a national collective-owned trademark, under which 90 standard stores have been put into operation.
